Summer 2021 Union Internship Gas Operations
Job Summary
Dominion Energy Ohio is looking to fill 6 Union Internship positions. The successful candidate will work for a short assignment in any of our departments that are represented by UWUA – Local G-555. This includes but is not limited to the Gas Operations and Customer Service departments; Field Metering Service, Construction & Maintenance, Corrosion/Leak Detection, Design/Construction, Integrated Service Center (ISC) and Gas Measurement and Regulation. The successful candidate will observe and assist our clerical and field employees to gain exposure to the overall gas field, pipeline operations and customer service experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• Must have a valid driver’s license and may be required to use a company and/or personal vehicle for Company business.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED by spring 2021 and be enrolled in a vocational or technical training program or related discipline with intent to obtain diploma/certification; or enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year degree program
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Ability to pass a physical and/or aptitude test
• Good computer, math and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must have acceptable work (if applicable) and attendance record
Preferences:
• Previous Military experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Trades and/or Craft Work Experience (e.g., mechanical, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, residential/commercial construction, pipefitting)
• Good customer service skills
• Positive verbal and written communications skills
• Temporary instruction permit identification care (TIPIC) in preparation for obtaining a permanent Commercial Driver’s License

Education Requirements
• Must have a high school diploma or GED by Spring 2021 and be enrolled in a vocational or technical training program or related discipline with intent to obtain diploma/certification; or enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year degree program
• Must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
