Early Childhood Education prepares students for a career in education and childcare

Early Childhood Education provides a hands-on learning experience for students interested in a career in education and childcare. Students gain actual experience by working at local daycare centers, preschools, kindergartens, and special needs classrooms. They will also have the opportunity to earn certification at the conclusion of the program. This enables them to work in licensed childcare centers and to become licensed family care providers.

Students will be prepared to earn a Child Development Associate credential, which would enhance employability in fields related to early childhood education and care. With additional education, the student can prepare for a career as a teacher, parent educator, social work, or intervention specialist.
