Job Description:
Insulation and Weatherization Installers will be responsible for the installation of fiberglass, cellulose, and/or spray foam insulation in retrofit and new construction structures. Installers report directly to Operations Manager.   Duties:

• Remove and dispose of old insulation
• Review blueprints and specifications to determine the amount and type of insulation needed
• Measure and cut insulation to fit into walls and around pipes
• Secure insulation with staples, tape, or screws
• Use air compressors/Blowing Machines to spray foam insulation
• Install insulation in attics, under floors, and behind walls in homes and other buildings to fill the space between wall studs and ceiling joists
• Install plastic barriers to protect insulation from moisture
• Install and replace the material that saves energy and helps reduce noise in buildings and around vats, vessels, boilers, steam pipes, and water pipes
• Install fire-stopping materials to prevent the spread of fire and smoke throughout a building

  Experience:

• No experience or educational requirement
• Driver's license is required
• Must be able to use or learn how to use common hand tools such as knives, staple guns, and scissors
• Must be able to use or learn how to use a variety of power tools, such as saws, drills, air compressors, and specialized insulation blowing machines

  Pay: $18.00 per hour or more, depending on experience   Work Schedule / Environment:   Full time: typical work schedule is M-F, 7:00a.m. – 3:30p.m.

• Occasional overtime is available
• Interior and Exterior work environments.  Must be able to work in hot, cold, dry, wet, and windy conditions
