Criminal Justice prepares students for many different career opportunities in the law enforcement field
The Criminal Justice program will introduce students to preliminary knowledge and skills necessary for a career in the criminal justice field. Through a combination of learning techniques, students will be introduced to the American Criminal Justice system. Students will be expected to gain an understanding of what happens from the time a crime is committed, the police response, investigation, adjudication in the courts, and the correctional and probation system. Students will participate in physical training in preparation to pass Ohio Police Officers Training Certification standards. This program will emphasize leadership and ethics, with the ultimate goal of building excellent candidates for careers in policing, corrections, and military.
