- Utilize and interpret blueprints to identify weld symbols and determine weld locations
- Source the materials to be used in the project prior to start
- Measure, mark dimensions, and lay out the material to be welded using tools such as, scribes, squares, tape measures, and calculators
- Be proficient in using hand and power tools such as hammers, chisels, grinders, grinding discs, torches, portable plasma cutter, and cutoff wheels while ensuring safety being a priority during the welding process
- Use forklifts and Overhead cranes to move and stage materials being welded on
- Spray Arc Welding on different types of metals
- Pass in-house weld tests to withstand bend and X-ray to become certified
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Mig welding experience of 1 to 4 years
- Mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ensure safety is a priority throughout daily operations according to OSHA standards
- Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend work required
- Must comply with QWF core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with all employees
- Tig welding and Stick welding experience
- OSHA certifications
