Job Description:
Utilities Seasonal Laborer:   Salary Range:  $13.00/hour   General Description: To perform duties for the Utilities Departments as instructed by the Utilities Foreman       and/or Village Administrator.  Hired by the Village Administrator and under the direct     supervision of the Village Administrator.   Work Schedule: This is considered to be a Seasonal position.   The normal work schedule for this position shall be less than forty (40) hours/week; specifically,             Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; excluding weekends and Village-observed holidays.  Hours may vary based on weather or demand and shall not exceed forty (40) hours/week.   Work Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following duties.  These duties are intended to depict some, but not all, of the typical tasks required by this position.  This position may require additional tasks as instructed by the direct supervisor.  

• Mow and trim all property owned or maintained by the Village of Spencerville...
• Perform general and routine maintenance of village-owned vehicles, equipment, property, and assets.
• To assist the full-time employees with various tasks, within the streets, parks, water, and sewer departments performing basic maintenance and repair practices.
• To understand and adhere to all rules, regulations and policies as required, by the                          State of Ohio, County of Allen and Village of Spencerville.

  Normal Employment Standards: Must be at least seventeen (17) years of age.   Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Ability to work and interact well with fellow employees and the public.  Ability to            operate all types of lawn care equipment and other small hand and power tools.  Must             possess the skills and knowledge needed to perform minor inspections and maintenance   of equipment, as required.   Special Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the State of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.     The Village of Spencerville is an Equal Opportunity Employer
