Shift: 8 hour shifts

Days: Sunday-Saturday

Weekends: every 3rd weekend, shift based on seniority

Hours/Pay Period: 80 hours biweekly

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, policies, and procedures, the Phlebotomist collects and processes blood samples for the Clinical Laboratory. Performs waived POC testing as needed Performs clerical duties and other routine duties as assigned. Works at health fairs to meet the needs of the health system. Participates in training of new Phlebotomists and students. Maintains the standards set forth in CLIA-88. On-call duties as assigned.

Education:  High School graduate or GED required.   Completion of approved Phlebotomy training also required. Licensure/Certification: BLS required. Experience:  None required.
