  Salary: $41,500 per year   Job Description: As a Mechanic/Part Removal Technician, you will play a vital role in our salvage yard operations. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently and accurately locate, remove, and prepare and inspect parts from vehicles. You'll work closely with our inventory and sales teams to ensure an organized and smooth process. Your attention to detail and ability to identify valuable components will be crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction.   Responsibilities:
  • Locate and identify desired automotive parts based on customer requests and internal inventory systems
  • Safely remove parts from salvage vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and equipment
  • Inspect and evaluate parts for quality, ensuring they meet our standards for resale
  • Clean and prepare parts for storage or sale
  • Accurately document parts removed, maintaining a clear record of inventory
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide product information and advice to customers
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Able to perform duties in varying weather conditions

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in an automotive or similar environment is preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of automotive components and systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use various hand and power tools
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify valuable parts quickly
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy parts (up to 75 pounds) and work in different weather conditions
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation purposes
