Job Description:
Maintenance Tech – M1 – 6pm to 6:30am – D Crew   To perform a variety of mechanical maintenance repairs.  Repairs, installs, replace and test electrical circuits, refrigeration and equipment.   Uses hand tools and testing instruments. Dismantles machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts.  Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.  Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.   Wage: $31.28   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all production equipment in assigned area under the guidance of the Maintenance Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all production equipment and supporting infrastructure including: Mechanical troubleshooting and repair, Industrial electrical / electronic troubleshooting and repair, PLCs/ Instrumentation, robotics, plumbing, hydraulics an pneumatics, HVAC/Steam, welding and fabrication, rigging and heavy materials handling, blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain open, accurate communication with other maintenance employees as well as production management.
• Accurately complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner and document all relevant information describing the completion of the work order.
• Provide all information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories.
• Work with production operators to identify process improvements wherever possible.
• Perform all work in a safe manner following all Company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with other duties and responsibilities as needed.

  EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Required:   

• A combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Associate degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics or a related field and two years of mechanical and electrical maintenance is preferred. Knowledge of basic fluid power, industrial electricity, mechanical components, PLCs, welding, machining, robotics and rigging. Also desired is knowledge of preventative maintenance practices, plant operations and government safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of electronics including motor controllers, low voltage electrical systems, proximity switches, photo-eyes, and variable frequency drives.

o          Working fundamentals of troubleshooting PLC’s. o          Basic understanding of schematics and blue prints. o          Thoroughly understand and follow all OSHA and Company regulations as they relate to the maintenance field (LOTO, CSE, PPE, etc.). o          Basic plumbing and HVAC knowledge. o          Requires a good understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic equipment. o          Requires judgment to make decisions regarding sequence of maintenance operations to be performed within the limits of standard practice. o          Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. o          Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem. o          Ability to write routine reports and correspondence o          Solid computer skills (MS Office, Word, Power Point and Excel) o          Ability to work in a multi-task, deadline-oriented environment o          Excellent communication skills, both oral and written o          Strong organizational skills with attention to detail o          Must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts o          Must be willing to attend off-site training o          Ability on a daily basis, walking, standing, crouching, lifting (25-35lbs), twisting, climbing, reaching   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
