Job Description:
Role Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and minor to moderate mechanical repairs. This position requires efficiency, a strong eye for detail, and strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure the fleet remains safe and operational.   Core Responsibilities & Daily Tasks: Light-Duty Semi / Trailer Repair
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair minor mechanical issues on light-duty semi-tractors and trailers.
  • Maintain and repair structural components of trailers (doors, latches, interior tracks).
  • Troubleshoot and fix electrical systems, including running lights, brake lights, and wiring harnesses.
  • Inspect and service air brake lines, valves, and components.
  Tire Changes & Maintenance
  • Perform routine tire inspections for wear patterns, treading depth, and proper inflation.
  • Mount, demount, balance, and rotate tires on trucks and trailers.
  • Safely operate tire changing machinery, jacks, and pneumatic torque wrenches.
  • Document tire replacements and track scrap tire inventory.
  Service Truck and Trailers
  • Conduct comprehensive scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) services (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-offs).
  • Grease chassis, fifth wheels, and trailer sub-frames.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe shop bays and service vehicles

  • $17 - $19 per Hour
  Required Licenses or Certifications:
  • Driver’s License
