- Operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools to produce complex parts with accuracy and efficiency.
- Program CNC machines using CAM software and G-code, ensuring optimal tool paths and machining parameters.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure parts meet design requirements.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools on machines, adjusting as necessary for different jobs.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and dial indicators to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained.
- Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by analyzing tooling wear, machine calibration, or programming errors.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing processes for efficiency and waste reduction.
- Assist in assembly operations when required, using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, inspection reports, and machine logs.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling heavy machinery, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers using SolidWorks or CAD software to review designs or suggest improvements for manufacturability.

- Proven experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment with hands-on operation of CNC lathe and CNC milling machines.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code or CAM programming software.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings is essential.
- Experience working with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMMs, and dial indicators.
- Solid understanding of tooling setup, fixture design, and material properties—especially plastics injection molding or metal fabrication is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurement conversions and machine adjustments.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems enhances operational capability.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and assembly aids is preferred.
