Job Description:
Position Type: Part-Time to Full-Time   Schedule: Flexible schedule based on client demand and business needs   Compensation: Competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and services performed   Position Summary: Fierce Aesthetics Med Spa is seeking an experienced, professional, and client-focused Licensed Esthetician and Permanent Makeup Artist being a plus to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience providing customized facials, advanced skincare services, and permanent cosmetic makeup. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping clients achieve their skincare and aesthetic goals while consistently maintaining the highest standards of safety, sanitation, professionalism, and client care.   Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform customized facials and approved advanced skincare treatments based on each client’s needs, goals, skin type, and contraindications.
  • Perform permanent cosmetic makeup services within the candidate’s documented education, training, competency, and legally authorized scope of practice.
  • Conduct thorough client consultations, review medical and skincare histories, identify contraindications, and establish appropriate treatment plans.
  • Explain treatment recommendations, expected outcomes, limitations, risks, aftercare requirements, and maintenance schedules.
  • Obtain and properly document all required client consents.
  • Maintain complete, timely, accurate, and confidential client records, including treatment notes and before-and-after photographs when authorized.
  • Follow all applicable infection-control, sanitation, bloodborne-pathogen, universal/standard precaution, sharps-disposal, and workplace-safety requirements.
  • Properly clean, disinfect, prepare, and maintain treatment rooms, equipment, instruments, supplies, and work surfaces.
  • Monitor product and supply inventory and promptly communicate replenishment or equipment-maintenance needs.
  • Educate clients about appropriate home skincare routines, aftercare, products, and follow-up services.
  • Build and retain a loyal client base by providing an exceptional, personalized client experience.
  • Support appropriate retail product recommendations and participate in approved promotional, educational, and client-engagement activities.
  • Collaborate professionally with medical providers, management, reception staff, and other members of the Fierce Aesthetics team.
  • Maintain client privacy and comply with all applicable confidentiality and HIPAA-related requirements.
  • Participate in required staff meetings, training, continuing education, and competency evaluations.
  • Perform other related duties consistent with the position and the individual’s authorized scope of practice.
  Required Qualifications:
  • Current and unrestricted Ohio esthetician license in good standing.
  • Documented education, hands-on training, and demonstrated competency in permanent cosmetic makeup.
  • Compliance with all applicable state and local requirements governing permanent cosmetics and body-art services.
  • Bloodborne Pathogens certification or willingness to obtain it before independently performing permanent cosmetic procedures.
  • Current CPR and first-aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Previous professional experience providing facials and skincare services.
  • Previous professional experience performing permanent makeup services.
  • Thorough understanding of sanitation, infection prevention, contraindications, informed consent, aftercare, and client documentation.
  • Strong consultation, communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect sensitive client information.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work scheduled evenings or weekends when needed.
  • Ability to provide professional references and an appropriate portfolio of completed work.
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of professional esthetics experience.
  • Experience working in a medical spa, wellness practice, dermatology office, plastic surgery practice, or comparable professional setting.
  • Established permanent makeup portfolio and documented client results.
  • Experience with brow services, corrective skincare, chemical exfoliation, dermaplaning, LED treatments, or other services approved for the position.
  • Experience with skincare product education and ethical retail sales.
  • Existing client following is welcomed but not required.

  • Ability to bend, reach, prepare treatment rooms, and safely lift or move supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to perform detailed aesthetic services safely.
