Job Description:
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant / Auditor / CPA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong tax, accounting, auditing, and financial reporting expertise, with the ability to work independently and with a team to provide valuable financial insights to support business operations Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. • Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. • Analyze financial records and identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement. • Prepare tax returns and assist with tax planning strategies. • Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records. • Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management. • Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Qualifications: • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or on track to obtain CPA license. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. • 5+ years of accounting and auditing experience. • Strong knowledge of GAAP, auditing standards, and financial reporting. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Strong written and verbal communication abilities. • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: • Public accounting experience. • Experience in audit planning and risk assessment. • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements. • Experience working with diverse industries and business sizes.
