Location: Piqua, Ohio Position Summary: The Electrical/Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling complex machinery and equipment by integrating both electrical and mechanical components. This role plays a key part in building custom capital equipment—including mechanical screw presses, hydraulic systems, and rebuilds—according to engineering specifications. - Assemble both mechanical and electrical components according to engineering drawings and schematics
- Build complex capital equipment from start to finish
- Read blueprints and plan sub-assemblies
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure exact fits and tolerances
- Conduct functionality testing and document results
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues with engineers and production teams
- Operate tools such as drill presses and overhead cranes
- Occasionally travel to customer or supplier locations
- Support other duties to keep our operations running smoothly
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in electrical or electronic engineering tech is a plus
- 5+ years of hands-on experience assembling capital equipment
- Strong skills in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering documents
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to use handbook equations and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Hydraulics experience is a strong plus
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working with shop machinery
- Hydraulics experience is a strong plus
- Fork Truck license preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
