Job Description:
The Powell Company has immediate openings for full-time drivers. Drivers are home evenings and weekends. Incentive pay for handling freight. Responsibilities:

• Complete pre-trip inspections prior to driving each day
• Be aware of road, traffic, and weather conditions, and adjust your driving accordingly
• Keep the truck clean and in proper working condition at all times, and report any service concerns immediately
• Always be helpful and courteous to all customers and employees
• Load, unload, and route trucks
• Complete post-trip inspection at the close of each day
• Drive delivery truck on route as needed
• Assist in putting away new product as needed
• Clean and organize dock and warehouse areas
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Qualifications:

• Must have valid driver’s license in good standing (A, B, or D)
• Must be able to pass DOT physical
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have excellent attendance record
• Must be able to work with little supervision
• High School Diploma or GED
• Good reading, math, and writing skills
• Prior driving experience
• Ability to present a positive image to our customers as a company representative
• Must be able to handle all freight
• Customer service is a must
