SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
- Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling including hydraulic press, borer or overhead crane.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
- Quality: Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly, make adjustments as needed.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
Qualifications:
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- Must be quality orientated with a high attention to detail and able to work with quality and manufacturing departments to define problems and implement improvements.
- Good communication abilities
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Associates Degree or equivalent in Engineering is required
- Minimum of 3 yrs. manufacturing experience or training; or equivalent combination.
