Position Overview The Licensed Childcare Staff member provides supervised, structured, and fun after-school care for children within the arcade environment. This position ensures the safety, well-being, and engagement of children ages 5 and up during the after-school hours, combining supervised play with a safe and nurturing atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision and Safety

• Provide attentive supervision of all children in the program at all times
• Enforce safety rules throughout the arcade and designated childcare areas
• Maintain accurate attendance and sign-in/sign-out records for each child
• Ensure children are only released to authorized guardians
• Respond to accidents, injuries, or incidents calmly and per protocol

Programming and Engagement

• Lead structured activities, games, and creative play during the program hours
• Utilize the arcade environment to encourage positive social interaction
• Assist children with homework or quiet activities as needed
• Coordinate use of arcade games and VR room in a supervised, age-appropriate manner

• Greet parents and guardians professionally at drop-off and pick-up
• Communicate daily updates, concerns, or incidents to parents and the General Manager
• Maintain positive relationships with families enrolled in the program

Compliance and Documentation

• Maintain all required licensing documentation and ratios per Ohio childcare regulations
• Keep records of attendance, incidents, and medications if applicable
• Follow all mandated reporter guidelines and obligations
• Ensure the childcare area meets all health, safety, and sanitation standards

• Active Ohio childcare license or certification required
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain before start date)
• Experience working with school-age children
• Mandated reporter training completed or willingness to complete
• Warm, patient, and energetic personality
• Ability to pass a background check
• Experience in a childcare, school, or recreational setting preferred
