2nd Shift Machinist/CNC/Manual

Nidec Minster is currently seeking a 2nd shift Machinist/CNC/Manual for our Minster, Ohio location. Machinists for Nidec Minster will work in an engineered-to-order "job shop" environment where our products are made one at a time requiring many setups and holding close tolerances.

Machinist Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate machine tools such as mills, lathes, grinders and machining centers with multiple capabilities.
  • Machine setup, tool setting, loading and unloading fixtures and tools, and deburring.
  • Inspection of cell products and material movement associated with the cell.
  • Direct customer contact may be required at times.
  • Preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Qualifications:

Machinist Qualifications:

  • Specialized training such as a JVS or tech school is a plus.
  • Ability to read complex engineering drawing and work in close tolerances.
  • Must be able to operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Ability to program CNC equipment a plus.
  • A manufacturing background in a "job shop" environment preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
