Job Description:
Summary Operates Commercial Vehicles, Vacuum Trucks, Water Blasters or Heavy Equipment associated with spill response, environmental, industrial, and asbestos projects by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned Disconnects and drains tank, connects hose to water or steam lines and sprays walls, roof and bottom of tank to flush residue such as oil, acid, grease and sludge through tank openings. Operates Commercial Vehicles, Vacuum Trucks, Water Blasters or Heavy Equipment. Performs equipment inspection and routine maintenance daily. Reports any issues with the equipment to Supervisors, Project Manager or Operations manager immediately upon noticing. Refuel equipment when unit is half empty. Completes driver logs and inspection report as required by Department of Transportation guidelines. Maintains valid operating license and endorsements. Immediately notifies management if there is an issue with said license. Utilizes and maintains all applicable safety gear appropriate for the equipment. Drives the vacuum truck and box van to job sites as necessary Operates water blaster and jet units. Responds to emergency spill call-outs. Follows all company safety procedures and guidelines. May be assigned to abatement or miscellaneous projects (with appropriate training). Sweeps up waste and debris and shovels into drums and storage containers. Loads and unloads project materials and equipment. Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
