Perry Township Dept./Division: Fire Department Class Title: Firefighter/Paramedic Position Title: Firefighter/Paramedic Employment Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-exempt EEO Status: 04-Protective Services Workers Reports To: Fire Chief Normal Hours: Varies Qualifications: Completion of secondary education (high school or GED) and completion of firefighter training; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Preferred Firefighter/EMT experience. Willing to train! Licensure or Certification Requirements: Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable under the Township’s vehicle insurance policy; certified as a Level II Firefighter and Ohio Paramedic certification within two (2) years from the first available course selected by the Board of Trustees or certification obtained within two (2) years from first available course selected by the Board of Trustees; maintain their certification (e.g., Hazmat Technician, etc.) as required. Level of Supervision: Performs duties under general direction of the Fire Chief.
