Job Description:
Buckeye Pumps is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Galion, OH! As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance of rotating equipment at customer sites. Rotating equipment could include industrial pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc. Lacking experience in rotating equipment? No problem! We have a comprehensive training program to prepare you for this exciting opportunity. What You'll Do:
  • Basic rotating equipment maintenance (change oil, basic PM, troubleshoot basic mechanics, reporting).
  • Advise customers of basic PM activities as recommended by OEM.
  • Understand and perform alignments and the necessity for equipment reliability.
  • Push/pull pumps and motors.
  • Install seals/packing.
  • Understand and perform basic LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) functions.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Need:
  • High School or equivalent, with mechanical aptitude and skills.
  • Able to operate and read from a computer/laptop monitor; experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to obtain MEC (Medical Examiner's Certificate) under DOT as a 'non-CDL' commercial motor vehicle driver.
  • Able to wear personal protection equipment, including a respirator as necessary.
  • Able to see differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
  • Able to hear sounds and designate differences between them and talk via telephone and electronic devices in the workplace.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work outdoors and possibly in inclement weather, willingness to work in wastewater environments as necessary.
