Job Description:
As an Apprentice at GROB, you will participate in a comprehensive training program designed to provide you with hands-on training and education in either a mechanical or electrical pathway. Throughout the program, you will train in our apprenticeship labs, receive on-the-job training from experienced workers, and earn a company-paid Associate degree in Engineering Technology through Rhodes State College. This unique opportunity will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a technician in various mechanical and electrical departments within the GROB facility. Apprentices will specialize in either a mechanical or electrical pathway depending on their interests, ability, and company need. A 20-week Basic Training at the beginning of the program will provide apprentices with experience in both pathways before specialization decisions are made. Mechanical apprentices will then acquire knowledge of machining and assembly techniques while electrical apprentices will learn electrical systems and programming.
