Now Hiring: CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER Swartz Restoration & Emergency Services is Northwest Ohio’s industry leader in full-service residential and commercial restoration and reconstruction. Swartz Restoration is actively seeking an experienced residential project manager who is honest, hardworking, and interested in utilizing their construction knowledge and experience to help the people in our community restore their homes, businesses, and lives. Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant construction experience
  • At least 5 years of project management experience in construction
  • A strong knowledge of residential construction
  • The ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • The ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Clean MVR
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen, credit, and background check
  Responsibilities:
  • Manages project timeline, phases, and milestones; evaluates the percentage of completion vs. project schedule and makes the necessary adjustments
  • Coordinates sub-contractors and inspectors
  • Communicates with the Operations Manager regarding change orders, wants/needs, concerns, and complaints
  • Assist the Operations Manager in ordering special material (long lead-time) to the level of spending authority
  • Plans and coordinates material planning for fieldwork to avoid delays
  • Responsible for the safety management of fieldwork. Enforces all safety rules
  • Responsible and accountable for the job: safety, quality, cost/profitability, and productivity of field crew personnel
  • Ensures all equipment and tools are well maintained and safe
  • Coaches and disciplines field personnel/holds them accountable
  • Assist the Operations Manager with meeting the budgeted profitability targets
  • Monitor and measure project performance to identify areas of improvement for adjustments
  • Analyzes variance reports and develops action plans to control costs
  • The Project Manager has ON-CALL responsibilities 1 week of each month
