Responsibilities:
- Directs and oversees daily operations and quality of care of licensed nursing, independent living, and assisted living areas at Mennonite Memorial Home and Willow Ridge
- Provides positive leadership to designated department heads
- Provides positive leadership to the facility as a whole in regards to quality of care and provision of excellent and innovative services
- Reviews and recommends policies and procedures in accordance with governing statutes, EEO regulations, etc., that will assure good performance and a high standard of service
- Reviews and edits all purchases and personnel requests
- Interprets federal and state requirements and implements changes as needed to assure compliance
- Observes care given to elders by maintaining an active presence on the nursing floor
- Monitors medical reporting, staffing, and procedures in order to assure compliance with regulations and quality care
- Uses Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PointClickCare, etc., to prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to submit to the Chief Operating Officer and/or the Board of Directors
- Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and seminars
- Maintain confidentiality as appropriate under employer policy and all applicable laws and regulations
- Hold and maintain a valid Nursing Home Administrator's license (LNHA)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to operate standard business office equipment and computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Point Click Care, CliniSync, etc.)
- Knowledge of employer policies and procedures, Corporate Compliance Policies, the Code of Ethics, budgeting, purchasing, current long-term care issues, state and federal nursing care requirements, Medicare and Medicaid laws, public relations, employee training and development, promotion and marketing, Fair Labor Standards Act, medical terminology, etc.
