General Information

The following are Apollo Adult Workforce Education "Quick Facts":

  • Serves over 4,000 adults per year
  • Provides state-of-the-art career-technical training and retraining to adult learners
  • "Offers 11 Full Time Programs in the areas of: Health Care, Manufacturing, Computer Technology, Law Enforcement, Construction, Truck Driving, and Early Childhood Education
  • Serves nine counties in Northwest and West Central Ohio
  • Provides over 60 part time skill upgrade training courses
  • Serves 78 Fire Departments and EMS Squads in 14 counties through our Public Safety Division
  • Offers free adult basic literacy (ABLE) to adults in reading, writing, and math in an effort to assist students in obtaining their general education degree (GED)
  • Developed a Customized Training Group with Computerized Office Systems and Diversified Industrial Training
  • Maintains six fully accredited Medical Programs including a part-time Practical Nursing program and a off-campus Practical Nursing program
  • Constructed a new Truck Driving Academy on the Apollo Campus
  • Participates as an integral partner of the Allen, Putnam, and Paulding County One-Stop Centers
  • Holds a Memorandum of Understanding and Articulation agreements with Board of Regents Institutions
  • Holds Accreditation by North Central Association (CASI) through 2014
  • Holds certification as an Ohio Department of Education full service center
  • Features a 22,000 sq. foot Adult Resource Center which includes an 8,000 sq. foot School of Medical Careers and 2,000 sq. foot Corporate Training Center
  • Offers comprehensive student financial services and support through: Pell Grants, WIA, TAA/TRA/NAFTA, BVR, VA, Ohio Workforce Development, Employer Sponsored Scholarships, and Loans
  • Offers Job Placement, Career Assessment and Counseling, Work Keys testing, Job Profiling, Career Passports, and Student Graduation
  • Utilizes comprehensive electronic registration and room scheduling system
  • Employs upwards of 300 experienced and highly skilled part-time instructors
